Sonia Rykiel was known as the queen of knits. When she was pregnant she couldn’t find anything to wear to fit her so she went to an Italian company and created a dress and a sweater for style and comfort. That is where she got the urge to become a fashion designer. She mainly designed in knits and what was called practical clothing. She started her fashion house in 1968 and was active until she died in 2016. This knit is complete where it has the hat scarf under sweater cardigan which she is known for and the pants. The pants are influenced by jogger sweatpants. She often went to parks in Paris and watched and got inspired by the people going by. All the pieces can be worn together or separately. This was also something she was known for. If you are exceedingly daring the cardigan can be worn as a micro mini dress. The hat is a beret style. The under sweater can be tied in the front. The scarf itself has a ribbed texture to it. The cardigan has three usable pockets. Cardigan closes with 7 buttons, the sweater is over the head, pants have elastic waist and two buttons at the ankle, the ensemble itself is made out of lambs wool and angora and nylon. Excellent comdition maybe worn once.
